Rules and Regulations



  1. The official registration must be completed by each prospective participant and be submitted through the official on-line registration website. Registrations that are not officially endorsed will not be accepted.
  2. Official acceptance of the online registration will be made upon receipt of payment and all registrations will be on a first come, first served basis. All payments are to be made via accepted credit cards, as may be specified. No personal cheques shall be accepted.
  3. Completion of the online registration and payment of the registration fee represents acceptance of the rules and regulations of participation.
  4. Participants below 18 years of age need to seek parental or guardian consent and will be required to complete a consent form before participating in the event.
  5. Registration on actual day for Run for Hope 2017 will be confirmed nearer to date.
  6. All participants will receive a Confirmation Slip (soft-copy through online registration) after payment is made.
  7. Once the Registration Form has been duly processed, there shall be no refund of entry fees for those participants who eventually do not take part for whatever reason(s).
  8. Run for Hope 2017 entry is non-transferable.
  9. The Organisers reserve the right to limit and refuse entries without assigning any reasons thereof.
  10. All participants are required to collect their Run Packs before the event date, which will be made known at a later date.
  11. All participants are required to produce their Confirmation Slips for collection of their Run Packs.
  12. The route on certain roads on the event day will be closed to traffic up to 2 hours after the publicised start time, after which the road closure will be lifted. Participants will then be allowed to continue on the footpath at their own risk.
  13. For group collection of Run Packs, the appointed representative is required to produce all Confirmation Slips of all the participants.
  14. Size of T-shirt is subject to availability. The Organisers will not facilitate any exchanges.
  15. It is the responsibility of participants to certify themselves medically fit for the event. A participant must retire from the run/walk immediately if required to do so by any member of the official medical team.
  16. The Organisers reserves the right to remove any participant deemed physically incapable of continuing with the walk to prevent him/her from causing greater harm and injury to himself or herself.
  17. Participants are required to run/walk on the designated path for the entire route.
  18. Baggage deposit is available at the start/end point. Participants are  advised not to leave any cash or valuables (including but not limited to mobile phones) at the baggage deposit counter. The Organisers shall not be  responsible or liable in the event of any loss or damage.
  19. Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the Participants’ safety, the Organisers, their Sponsors and their appointed Officials shall not be liable for any death or injury, loss or damage, suffered or otherwise, howsoever arising.
  20. The Organisers reserve the right to delay the commencement of the walk in the event of inclement weather. Should the inclement weather persist after the delay, the Organisers reserve the right to cancel the run & walk without any refund.
  21. The Organisers reserve the right to use any photograph, motion picture recording, or any other record of this walk and its participants for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising.
  22. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, postpone or change the venue, date and time of the event. There will be no fee refund if the event is cancelled for whatsoever reasons. The Organisers and their officials shall not be held responsible for any claims arising out of any death or injury, damage or loss, suffered or caused while participating in the Run for Hope 2017, and this includes all costs and expenses incurred as a result of such claims.
  23. The Organisers reserve the right to amend any of the rules and regulations without giving prior notification or any reasons thereof.
  24. The Organisers’ decisions are final. No correspondence will be entertained.
